First scans of Silbersalz arrived. It's motion picture film (really, it's Kodak Vision3 in different packaging) developed in ECN-2. It is impressive how fine the grain is. But their lab processing time is much slower than I expected.

@Gargron She's got that look like her hubby is delivering a public good.

@Gargron very nice! I had some great results shooting 250D in the golden hour, the reds and yellows were gorgeous. It does render quite warm it seems even in overcast conditions. Thanks for sharing!

@Gargron
Great photo. The texture, clothing, and environment give a feeling of it being made in the 70's
By the way: what is the location? Looks like Zurich

@Gargron always wanted to try it out since Analog insights highlighted them. International shipping never made financial sense for me. Really clean scans though, looks like it was worth the wait for the lab!

@mranthropology I think you can just buy any Kodak Vision3 film and have it developed in ECN-2 and you'll get the same results. The only thing different may be that Silbersalz does not remove the remjet layer, unlike e.g. Cinestill, which does.

@Gargron lol I just want the glory of their cinema scanner!

@Gargron I've been scanning old family pictures and this has very strong 'family trip in 1974' energy. 💖
