Out of curiosity, if the price point was around 30 USD, and we kept the shipping around or below 10 USD, and you wanted to order one of these, which region would you be ordering from? Trying to get an idea for the logistics.

@Gargron 30+10 € it's really too much, IMHO

Anyway little #masty it's so cute! 😉

Eugen Rochko

@opensoul How much do you expect a toy of this size to cost?

:idle: OpenSoul :verified:

@Gargron 20-25 maximum IMHO, anyway I'm not an expert of these kind of toy, this was only my personal price propensity to buy one 😃

Jérôme

@Gargron you should charge what you need to charge. There’s a market for everyone and there’s always someone that will want to pay less. Can’t please everyone, especially since it’s bulky, shipping will always be big no matter why.

Friedhof der Kuschelbiere

@Gargron
I wouldn't order it. I only love Plushies if they are ugly. And that Plushie isn't ugly at all! But, away from that, the price for it and for the shipping sounds quiet fair to me.

Hobbits Wife

@gargron that’s be £31 ish for the UK so I’d really have to love it at that price & it’s quite a large size. Smaller one, cheaper price, maybe.

Rafael Masoni

@Gargron I’d say USD25+10 would be more reasonable, but it’s also too big. I’d definitely buy one if it was 10~15cm tall.

Nick G

@Gargron

At USD 40 or equivalent, I'd pass.

Rick Belanger

@Gargron Canada (although we do have a US address for shipping cost efficiencies).

FCLC

@Gargron id be surprised if you were able to make any margin shipping from the US into Canada at 40 USD all in.

Same time, yes, I want/need

Eugen Rochko

@fclc Not really in it for the margin. Most of all would just love to see people have these. Still, can't be losing money on it either, so we'll see.

FCLC

@Gargron ah ok.

I was looking at it from the PoV where any profit/margin is effectively a donation to the project!

40 USD is roughly 50 CAD. It’s not inexpensive, but for a large, niche plush, isn’t all that weird.

From the images, it looks a lot like a squishmallow type plush?

Eugen Rochko

@fclc There is a video in my recent posts where you can see how squishy it is.

FCLC

@Gargron I love him(?) and would do evil things (recommend EMacs) in exchange for one.

At 50 Cad, I’d pick one up

Larry Staples

@Gargron If you want usable Japan data, I think you have to ask in Japanese.

riv

@Gargron avid plushie enjoyer and purchaser here, i think those prices are great for this size and quality plushie, especially if they are ethically made (:

sqrt(-1)

@Gargron
Brazil, but probably it would cost ~200 BRL plus taxes (maybe)

corvax

@Gargron Any idea if there'll be multiple colour options?

Eugen Rochko

@corvax Everything depends on the numbers. There’s a minimum of 500 units per batch. If 500 is all there’s demand for, then we won’t be able to have different colors.

Oliver Kamer

@Gargron not sure if people being super excited about the plushy are very representative of the broader audience, but I would go to Germany to pick one up…

Bed

@Gargron Australia, which means there’s no way you can keep shipping under US$10 though :(

Scott Matter

@Gargron

Does the world need more consumer goods?

can

@Gargron If you're looking for a partner to make shipping easier for EU: I run a boutique fulfillment company (based in Hamburg) and we only work with brands that follow some kind of societal or environmental impact. Would love to work with you. Let me know if you want to learn more.

Eugen Rochko

@can That sounds interesting. I can see it's @ravioli. Let's talk over e-mail? Mine is eugen@joinmastodon.org.

can

@Gargron @ravioli Exactly. Sending you an email right now.
