@otfrom @BlackAzizAnansi I have often thought it might be helpful for communities to make a habit of hosting offsite backups for friends, family, and neighbors. And what good are backups if they're not verified once in a while?
I imagine if someone would host an offsite backup of all the.. say.. mp3s i bought from amazon/soundcloud/bandcamp. They would be doing me a favor if they verified some of the files once in a while.. you know, in case my local backups fail. πŸŽΆπŸŽ΅πŸ’ΏπŸ“€

The moral case for piracy has never been stronger. If everything streams, the only way of preserving many items of cultural/historical value is piracy. There's often no legal way of getting your own copy any more.
