So HUGE discovery found in Windows 11 Version 24H2, since build 25905.
A CPU with the instruction "POPCNT" IS NOW REQUIRED!
There are various system files requiring the POPCNT CPU instruction, from the Windows 11 kernel to the USB XHCI drivers.

Without POPCNT, it doesn't boot!

@bobpony I'd say I hope it boots on an FX-6300 (my main computer's CPU), and it might just, but I will stay on 10 IoT LTSC for the time being anyways.

@nerm_nelly If the CPU at least has SSE4a (AMD) or SSE4.2 (Intel) then it'll boot Windows 11 Version 24H2 without issues.

@bobpony that instruction is part of SSE4.2. you know what else needs SSE4.2? 64-bit images for Waydroid.

yeah, i think this has its reasons somewhere deep up WSA's ass. tho making sure my old laptop (core 2 duo) does not boot currently supported Windows either is a good thing imo
