@IceNine I'd rather people didn't go around writing licences to guess who's legitimately disabled because that's a nuance most people seem to have missed

Yeh, wife can only walk short distances. A little while ago we couldn't get a space because a couple had taken a mobility space because they "weren't being used" - they got aggressive when challenged, to put it mildly. Wish they'd been at the place I know you'll get clamped in under 30 seconds for doing that. They can be indeed - that said, there's also the awesome workers armed with chicken biryani. I never know how far I can walk before my legs give up- I certainly don’t want to waste the steps I get that day on walking through a parking lot. I use a cane for short distance, scooter for long. And people used to give me shit about using a scooter to pick up my kids because they saw me walking with a cane on a rare trip to a grocery store. MS varies by person, symptoms vary by day. It would nice of people didn’t assume they know how every disability works. |
@zip
Ah yes, they do assume though eh. Loudly and opinionatedly - and worn it the last couple of times being in town (passenger is the permit holder, not I).
Some days people never cease to amaze me. *sigh*
