@elektron The instances in that list were set to be silenced, and we're rejecting their media. Our posts will still make it there for the users that follow accounts from here, and new followers from those instances need to be manually approved by my users here. @elektron Certainly, cheers! :3 I'd definitely recommend checking out that GitHub and the posts linked in it, there's other good info like mail server blocks and blocking common temporary mail sources included there too

@somnius Thanks to @neauoire for boosting, Somnius yourself for posting and linking to the list, and to @ErikUden for compiling the list in the first place. As someone who hasn't seen a single ripple of this spam wave, this is a real clear-cut case of "when the system runs smoothly for us, our way in to acknowledging there's a problem is by listening to those for whom it is gummed up". For which I must also thank my own admin @trumpet! |
