@sesivany I can cope with a little proprietary software on my system, just not in my kernel, so nVidia can get lost.

@diffrentcolours @sesivany With Nvidia moving to open kernel drivers, that part isn't going to be an issue for long. But what would really make a difference is if they moved to the same kernel driver as Nouveau. (I guess like AMD proprietary drivers do.) Then I believe it would be possible to use the open source drivers to render your desktop, but run a particular game or application with the proprietary driver, in a sandbox.

@sesivany But it's true! Bog damn it just bought an AMD graphics card because i grew so Bog damn tired of trying to get Nvidia to work with Linux. Fedora installed. Stable Vulkan shader use shall now commence.
