"Neitokainen (also called Neitojärvi & Finlantto), is an artificial pond on the slope of Vesikkovaara in the municipality of Kittilä, completed in 1991.
Neitokainen is 116 metres long & has an average depth of 1 metre. It's shaped like Finland at 1/10000 of its size.
The artificial pond was the brainchild of Esko Sääskilahti, a master builder who took necessary measurements & marked the contours of the lake on the ground."
