The rain finally made it down to Southern California and there were so many little birds celebrating in my yard. Here’s an almost disturbingly intense little bush tit partying it up 😅

A very round female Bush tit is stuck sideways to a twig staring me down with a strong icy stare on its tiny little face. It’s surrounded by fall colored leaves looking very pretty.

Sorry Mr. Owl! I hightailed it inside after this, I’m a bit afraid of owls after watching that documentary where the husband probably killed his wife but maybe it was an owl? Surely husbands are much more dangerous than owls statistically speaking but I think it could happen especially if you annoy them with a flash like I just did 😬

A large owl up in the birch tree at night turning to look over its shoulder at me, clearly annoyed. Its huge eyes are lit up yellow and orange by the flash. I think this is a horned owl.
