@bigjsl when I was living in OZ I used isinstock.com to get notified about Apple products being in stock.

I just wish retailers would let me search what's in stock at a particular store.

i.e. is it worth going to store X to look at all/most of the stuff I want ... without having to search item by item which store has stock.
