She's been grumpy about Jojen's recent arrival and has spent much of the last week following him around yelling and hissing. But she's starting to think maybe he's ok. Week 2. Jojo is loving life. Very happy little goofball. Follows me everywhere. Wants way more lap time than the other two. This #RescueCat came home on Thursday, so today we celebrate our first #Caturday together! He's doing awesome -- bold about exploring his new home, very savvy with my other cats, and eager for my affection. My big old boy hadn't snuggled with another cat since he was a kitten in 2007, except once for a few minutes by accident in 2021 through the plausible deniability of a blanket, which obviously doesn't count!, so this acceptance of his newly adopted sister is unprecedented and beautiful. scared lil barn kitten is doing so great now. she's so smooth in her wranglings with the old boy whose home she invaded! very high cat IQ from her feral colony life. Old boy is still enjoying lap cuddles, socializing with the kitten, and long naps. He's very thirsty lately, which was worrying me. The blood test says his kidneys aren't working so good, which is common for old cats. Some easy changes could help his renal system limp along. I feel better knowing what we're dealing with. I let the last one live too long and hope to manage this situation better. Week 2 with this 9 month old #RescueCat Her shelter name, Karen, (yeah...) has been upgraded to Meera, my second pet named from #ASOIAF She's starting to cuddle and consented to this picture for #Caturday |
