an extensible open source #federated#social networking toolkit, that empowers communities to easily configure their spaces from the ground up.
There is still time to see this and other #fediverse app demos, and join in what will likely be dozens of #unconference sessions over two half days online.
The list of #fediverse topics attendees are bringing to #FediForum next week has gotten even longer! We have updated the list on our website.
We could easily spend weeks discussing them: so many topics, few of them are simple, and many need sustained collaboration to make progress -- perhaps you find collaborators next week?
We have two half-days, Wed and Thu, and it's going to be intense!

FediForum is in less than 15 days. Have you registered yet?
Expect two intense half-days of discussions and work on all aspects of the Fediverse with participants from around the world who are just as passionate about better forms of social networking, and all the other things the Fediverse enables, as you are.
Also, we'll have a few demos of interesting fediverse software you might not have seen yet.
FediForum is coming up September 20 -21. Are you registered yet?
Join us online for two half-days of sessions on the present and future of the fediverse, its challenges and opportunities. How do we make sure it works well, and continues to work well, for everybody?
We would like to hear more from traditionally underrepresented and marginalized Fedizens at the next #FediForum.
We asked FediForum participants, and they most mention LGBTQIA+ and black communities, people with disabilities, as well as voices from outside the usual rich western countries whose residents tend to dominate tech-related events.
Can you help us reach out further than we can on our own? We'd appreciate introductions.
Looking forward to rapid learning, passionate debate and creating new momentum for the next steps forward for the Fediverse, just like we did at our first event in March.
Threads has arrived with a big bang and (traditional) social media already changed forever in the past 24 hours.
They promise #ActivityPub integration soon but few details are known and there is no running code yet.
Depending on who you ask, it will be either the best thing that ever happened to the #Fediverse, or the worst thing requiring immediate blocks, or is irrelevant.
Expect intense discussions about #threads, its impact and what to do at the next #Fediforum in September.
The next FediForum online #unconference for the #Fediverse will happen September 20 and 21st, 2023.
It's an #event whose program is determined by you: you, the attendees, decide what the sessions are, what topics are discussed, and what to spend more or less time on.
Registration will go up shortly. In the meantime, fill out the interest form at https://fediforum.org/ and read the notes from the more than two dozen amazing sessions we had at the first event in March!
There are also extensive notes from almost all sessions that people ran on so many #Fediverse subjects, ranging from technology and standards to moderation, to enterprise needs to community building and more.
