As an experiment, I have published a map of Washington State using the full and complete data dump from OSM. It has a filter functionality to find things based on the tagging and you can now click items to view entities (that's still somewhat buggy).

It's good enough that I can use it to see places to get various flavors of takeout this evening: watmildon.github.io/TIGERMap/W

It looks like speaker invites for State of the Map US are going out. Congrats to everyone who got selected and many many thanks to everyone who submitted talks!

I'll be giving a lighting talk titled "One Year of SmallTownBot" and a full talk about efforts to squeeze more great map data from the GNIS dataset.

Tickets still available. Come see us! openstreetmap.us/events/state-

In Washington State there are 2 overlapping and competing fast food chains both called Taco Time.

I spent the last few hours sorting out which is which on #OpenStreetMap and adding/correcting the brand:wikidata tags so hopefully everyone can now find their preferred taco provider.

Been really enjoying working through issues identified by @amapanda's river basin map. Specific enough to be achievable but also varied enough to stay interesting! A perfect OSM QA rabbit hole.
