Tim Cook: "the most important thing about Apple Vision Pro is how it enriches our customers’ lives — strengthening connection, unlocking potential, and empowering people to accomplish things that simply wouldn’t be possible any other way." Appears the device has a bit to go before it can live up to this, but it is one compelling vision statement. I'm totally looking forward to the last item on that list. #apple #visionpro Some weekend reading for you: "I can’t remember any time when more spaces for innovation and entrepreneurship were wide open than now". Blogged. Apple Vision Pro demo appointment booked. I don’t have any plans to buy this version-1 product, but I do want to try them out. Thanks @snarfed.org for the shout-out to myself and the fediverse test suite project @feditest on the @wedistribute podcast. Very interesting episode on bridging the #activitypub #indieweb #nostr #bluesky and traditional #social platform as implemented by Ryan in #bridgy and #bridgyfed. “Trump allegedly had the closet's lock changed while his attorney was in Mar-a-Lago's basement”… It reads like bad slapstick script ca anno Buster Keaton. https://abcnews.go.com/US/special-counsel-questioned-witnesses-2-rooms-fbi-search/story?id=106826552 A "little bit" of a rain shower today ... I'm happy I don't work as a mailman or Amazon driver or such. @J12t Need to test business leaders, politicians and military officers. Maybe retire those infected as their increased risky behaviour isn't doing the rest of us any favours. “Wray … believes that China’s cyber operatives outnumber all FBI agents by at least 50 to 1.” Hmmm. Voting ended 31 January at 7:08. Today it's definitely spring in Northern California. T-Shirt weather. I'm not certain any more that long pants are preferable to short pants. Blue skies this morning. Birds singing. However, on my hike yesterday, only some grasses are growing and the plants are very small still. No flowers yet. Can't be far with this weather. Something like 8-9 miles, about 2000 vertical feet, 3.5 hours including lunch for a Sunday hike. That’s about the same as before I had COVID. Ha! I had been a bit concerned when recovery took some time. “437 changed files with 18,905 additions and 17,985 deletions.” Not my code, thankfully. |
@J12t I believe we had that level of wind gusts last winter season
