#Today Little Guy’s vet appointment went very well. His BP was down more than 100pts & that’s with barking dogs & chaos around him. His condition is manageable, but not curable as such. His hind legs are becoming stronger. The vet increased his dosage on one medication so now it just 2 meds once a day. Very doable. But he does have an ear infection, he’ll love those ear drops!🥴 We’re happy!

It’s been a busy week here in the woodlands of MO.
Some of my friends know how our week began. Little Guy (LG) gave us a scare with partial paralysis in his hind quarters. He was diagnosed last year with a heart murmur. On Monday his BP was severely elevated & his heart was failing, he had thrown clots to his rear legs. With heart & BP meds on board he is recovering. His left leg is stronger, his right is compromised. He is a resilient & determined LG. ❤️

I slept wonderfully last night after a rough day yesterday. The latest Covid booster I received on Thursday kicked my butt 24hrs later, but I feel pretty good this morning.
The sun is shining, squirrels are terrorizing each other for seed, birds are singing their spring songs and Dude is asleep on my lap.

It’s 🌞 28F (-2C ) but it’s predicted to reach 60F (15C ) by this afternoon. The Dude and I are observing the flying monkeys tormenting each other as usual. Just a scant bird show so far. I’m drinking my protein shake which does nothing to fire up my neural synapses like most of y’all. 🙄

The cathouse kitties were feeling photogenic this morning. Little Guy has been cranky and time to check blood sugars. He has been in remission with his diabetes since last May. BS’s are usually perfect.
I’m picking up my 15yo grandson for the weekend. He’s is one of the kindest humans on earth and a goofy fun kid.

#Today was a good day to get outside and take a nice long hike around the property and blow the stink off.😁
It was a cloudy day, but temperatures topped 63°F 17°C.
I got all scrubby Dutch in my kitchen and bathroom, and then this afternoon, we fired up the pit and barbecued some future meals.
I’ve been missing my fiber optic Christmas tree in the cat house so Vin installed some cool lights I received for Christmas.

A hospital nightmare woke me up at 5am.🙄 It’s not light enough to feed the critters yet, so I sat at the table to write a toot & The Dude joined me on the table where he is prohibited.😸
It’s a rainy day with mild temps. I realized I haven’t been off the property since Jan 6, 3wks ago. Yay! Thats usual for this time of year. No plans #today. A short workout, reading and baking either zucchini bread or zucchini brownies.
