@gamingonlinux Weird flickering on Nvidia + Wayland. Plus, imho, it looks worse, like first versions of win10 or something similar.

@gamingonlinux great update so far, seems to be better than using Adwaita theme but time will tell ๐Ÿ˜„

@gamingonlinux Great, I tried it on Control using an RX 6700 XT and I get a stable 60fps on 1080 using max settings with medium ray tracing.

@gamingonlinux Man, the moment VR becomes a better experience on linux than it is right now I'm wiping my windows partition for good.

Valve pushed for linux in so many ways, so this feels alarmingly behind by comparison.

Dang, new Last of Us patch can *still* RAM spike and lock up the Steam Deck. Ouch.

I had fun in the singleplayer mode of that mod.
Thanks for reporting on it. I wouldn't have known about the new multiplayer stuff, otherwise.

I know Flatpak is supposed to be the future of Linux packaging, and I like the idea buuuut

Kdenlive has been broken for like 3 weeks now for me and others: github.com/flathub/org.kde.kde

Hope for Steam Deck? Absolutely.
Linux desktop? Who needs hope?
Universal packaging will save the linux desktop if anything.
Playing games is great, but the little hoops you have to jump through like bt failing or CLI is where i've seen most collegemates & friends say F linux.

Like sure there are fixes & workflow changes, but there are only so many one will accept when they could just use Windows or Mac

@gamingonlinux I agree, yet I would argue this displaces a lot of work onto Valve devs, it ain't much fair and thank god Valve can afford all that expertised gigantic compatibility work, yet it creates a single point of failure for the whole linux gaming ecosystem

Anyway that's a huge amount of brilliant work, I'll never stress enough how much thankful I am for us to have proton, at least for now

Though I'm not too afraid about it going away anytime but let's not take it for granted, shan't we

@gamingonlinux: I've been feeling disaffected by Reddit recently anyway, so taking a break from it isn't a bad thing.

Good , reddirt turned toxic long ago , it will do them good to get out and see what the rest of the world outside their echo chambers think.
