@gamingonlinux I don't even believe such computational-intensive software that requires frequent large file accesses should even be sandboxed. Tiny clock-like apps? Sure, why not. Content-specific read-only apps such as games? Makes sense. Video edition suites, SDKs and the main system browser? hell the fuck no. @gamingonlinux There's also apps appearing and disappearing from flathub randomly, like what happened to VLC recently. And some app devs choose to only publish on snap... @gamingonlinux For applications you traditionally cannot obtain from the distro package manager, makes sense. For most of the distro stuff, hell no. |
@gamingonlinux I mean, an app bug isnโt necessarily a Flatpak issue? For what itโs worth, I just used Kdenlive yesterday on Silverblue for a video and it worked fineโฆ I wonder whatโs causing it to crash. ๐ฌ
