I know Flatpak is supposed to be the future of Linux packaging, and I like the idea buuuut

Kdenlive has been broken for like 3 weeks now for me and others: github.com/flathub/org.kde.kde

@gamingonlinux I mean, an app bug isnโ€™t necessarily a Flatpak issue? For what itโ€™s worth, I just used Kdenlive yesterday on Silverblue for a video and it worked fineโ€ฆ I wonder whatโ€™s causing it to crash. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

@gamingonlinux I removed the org.kde.kdenlive and it worked for me so maybe try that?

@gamingonlinux can you install an older version with flatpak? I never checked

@gamingonlinux I don't even believe such computational-intensive software that requires frequent large file accesses should even be sandboxed. Tiny clock-like apps? Sure, why not. Content-specific read-only apps such as games? Makes sense. Video edition suites, SDKs and the main system browser? hell the fuck no.

@gamingonlinux Supposed to be the future? I really hope not.

@gamingonlinux There's also apps appearing and disappearing from flathub randomly, like what happened to VLC recently. And some app devs choose to only publish on snap...

@gamingonlinux For applications you traditionally cannot obtain from the distro package manager, makes sense. For most of the distro stuff, hell no.
