@gamingonlinux This is so hype, I I wanna buy the game again just to support the devs

@gamingonlinux so it's official, AND it supports the Steam Deck?

Hmm, guess I might now have a look in the near future.

Thank you for keeping tabs on this! My friends are playing this and I didn't want to get invested with the looming anti cheat stuff.

GantSentinel

@gamingonlinux Is it Kernel level or does it run in User-Mode?

@gamingonlinux #HumbleBundle has been my main ebook/audiobook source for years now

@gamingonlinux I wonder if there's a more accurate term than "compatibility" that can be used when talking about games that need to run through something like Proton to work on Linux.

Feel like it cheapens the effort of developers that actually include native Linux support in their games.

@gamingonlinux I used to quite like programming books but it’s hard to beat udemy now. Much prefer lecture format to books. Very good value as well with the sales.

@gamingonlinux Why is this game called PooShooter and not "Call of Doodie?"

"As it turned out Valve had a bug in the Steam client where it wasn't removing files with filenames that had a colon (:) in them"

It kept getting better 😂

@gamingonlinux Time traveler from 2023 goes back to 1978 and meets the developers of Space invaders

traveler: "Hi, I played a clone of your game, but it will be released in 45 years"
developers: "Omg! Is this game so popular in the future it will survive almost half of a decade"
traveler: "Well, it survived, but not because it was good. In the clone you control a but, which shoots poo on flying toilets and you can cover behind toilet paper."
developer: "What is wrong with you people?"

Really love cartridges, it's like a nice looking libadwaita version of Gnome Games which I think got abandoned.
Be nice to have libretro support but I kind of like having to manually create a launcher for retroarch for each game as means your more likely to play them.
Think my next step is trying to work out a way to hide the itch / steam window that opens in the background.

Whats the use case this is trying to fulfill? I have a few mini PCs I run as a k8s cluster and am generally a big fan of them, but with an N200 it doesn't have a hell of a lot of pulling power - maybe as a slightly more powerful thin client or streaming box?

@gamingonlinux This is great. Especially since Intel has stopped producing their own NUCs. Coreboot is a fantastic cherry on top. I just wish they could find a way to lower prices. $500 USD for a base N200 is BRUTAL.

@gamingonlinux I get that valve has a company structure that they like and don't want to force anyone to work on games they don't want to, but good grief would it kill them to hire someone to just implement some things the community is begging and pleading for?

One weapon per event and players would be sobbing with joy.

With over 48K followers now, I do have to wonder - how many are actually still on Mastodon 🤔

@gamingonlinux Time to get my second copy of Ghostrunner in the span of a week

@gamingonlinux Observer_ is so good! Sadly, it made me a bit nauseous while playing because of all the moving parts, but the story/plot/set-up/gameplay is mint.
