We got to play Marvel vs. Capcom's upcoming collection at Gamescom and it really feels like the definitive version of the classic games with neat filters, rollback netcode, and an interesting gallery: The past week saw a bunch of great new games get #SteamDeck Verified/Playable, including the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom collection and Fields of Mistria: Black Myth: Wukong is #1 on the Top 20 most played #SteamDeck games of August 2024, and while it makes sense, it was more exciting seeing Fields of Mistria make this list: A new Proton GE update was released yesterday on #SteamDeck that includes some fixes for Bully and CYGNI, updates components, and more: The First Berserker: Khazan is a wonderful fast-paced souls-like that feels similar to Black Myth: Wukong, and my hands-on demo at Gamescom solidifed my excitement for it. And yes, #SteamDeck support is being worked on: The newest big update from Selaco fixes an issue that could cause crashes on #SteamDeck, as well as adds in tons of great quality-of-life changes, including smart ammo pickups and backpack reloading: AutoForge, the 2D sandbox game about making automated factories, got a new update that fixed up some major #SteamDeck performance issues and more: Rogue Waters from Ice Code Games and Tripwire Interactive adds a new layer of strategy I haven't seen in other tactical roguelikes, and it's great: This week of Steam sales is fantastic for #SteamDeck owners and has some great franchises on heavy discount like the Tales of series, Dead Rising, and more: The Stone of Madness from The Game Kitchen and Tripwire Interactive has the makings to be an incredible real-time stealth experience, and my time with it at Gamescom confirmed that: A new #Giveaway for Escape Simulator is live on our Subreddit! Click on the link below, join our subreddit, and comment to enter for a chance to win. And yes, it is great on #SteamDeck: Monster Jam Showdown is a fantastic Monster Truck game that felt phenomenal to play, and is well worth the compromises on the #SteamDeck. I might have to grab a copy. The Castlevania Dominus Collection is fantastic on the #SteamDeck, but a few simple changes can get you up to 3 extra hours of battery life with no quality or framerate changes (stable 60 FPS). Here is how to do it: @steamdeckhq debating picking this up, loved Dawn of Sorrow, didn't play the other two but remember them being well received RetroDECK has started giving out details for its next update, and it includes some nice improvements to make management much nicer on #SteamDeck: @steamdeckhq I didn't see a link to the RetroDECK website in the article. You should add one so we can easily find more information. 👍🏻 The Elder Scrolls Online has finally gotten the #SteamDeck Playable badge after Proton 9 fixed launcher issues, and Verification is on the way: @steamdeckhq I saw this and was so pleased. Now if they'd only add cross-play so I could use my Xbox account... @steamdeckhq Heck yeah, just after I started getting back into ESO! I hope Zenimax works to make the installer, launcher, and main menu fully controller compatible. The Escape Room Bundle from Humble has about 18 hours left before it is taken off sale, and it has some awesome #SteamDeck titles included, with Escape Simulator being one of my favorites! $10 for everything is quite a good deal: Focus Entertainment has confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will have full #SteamDeck support by the end of the year: The free games for #SteamDeck this week include some great new trials and free titles like Fallout Classic Collection, Wild Card Football, a trial for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and more: Visions of Mana has a bit of a slow start, but is truly worth investing your time into. And while it isn't perfect on #SteamDeck, it is still enjoyable on the go. A copy was provided by Square Enix for review. https://steamdeckhq.com/game-reviews/visions-of-mana/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=mastodon @steamdeckhq I am a huge fan of the Snowrunner and Mudrunner games, but I absolutely love the direction the team is heading with RoadCraft, and seeing it in action at Gamescom confirmed that: |
