 @Green_Footballs If Musk really cared about population issues, he'd push legislation and his buddies to pay workers enough to be able to have more kids. Women in Europe when polled would love to have more than replacement rate but can't because they can't afford it, and if the rich weren't exploiting poorer nations, immigrants could just stay home. 1% owns 50% of the money, causing both issues, then using it as a fear tactic to keep all their stolen money.

Kinda thinking that replacing one social media addiction with three or four new addictions isn’t an optimal situation.  ...Meanwhile, I'm over here reading my favorite #Mastodon users posts, esp old Twitter favs, and favorite hashtags, in my #RSS reader like it is 2005 again because they get lost in the timeline and I find it easier than Mastodon's lists, having them come into the RSS reader in folders by hashtags and username. @Green_Footballs If it's Mastodon + Lemmy/kbin + PoxelFed + whatever else ActivityPub supports, then technically it's only kind of *one* network… so I can binge PeerTube? Musk wants to transform Twitter into a universal messaging/banking/shopping app like China’s WeChat. Would you trust this far right asshole with your life savings?

@Green_Footballs i’m gonna just amend this to say he claims (or imagines) that’s what he wants to do. In reality…😂😂😂 @Green_Footballs He seems to not understand that running off your users is not the way to universality. At this point, I assume that his claims to want that messaging/banking/shopping app is up there with his claims about free speech (as he continues to ban users critical of him)

@Green_Footballs That learning progress comes ~15 years later than needed, but, well, better late than never. ;) @Green_Footballs selling out one of the most important informational channels to a self-centred billionaire might have been the most irresponsible decision of the decade. @Green_Footballs reminder dorsey is still pumping and dumping in telegram chats with musk @Green_Footballs I've never used Substack... Twitter... I forget how long I've been with Twitter. Apparently.. almost 14 years.
