I just said good-bye to this good boi, the sweetest, most gentle cat ever. He and his brother gave us 15 wonderful years; his brother left us a few months ago. Always healthy, he surprised us by suddenly losing interest in food/water and started staggering. Vet was upfront with us. His heart murmur, bladder stones, very low temperature, dehydration & likely diabetes would result in very low quality of life going forward. I had to choose. It's never easy.
