I'm always happy when I catch a nice ray of light in a photo. This one formed a cross with the wild plant at the center. 🌞

@photovotary once or twice? Definitely has happened before. Along with being attacked by a mother robin or brown thrasher, can't remember which. Apparently I'd gotten too close to the nest she'd made on the fence I was patrolling.

Rattler Six

@photovotary I drive a Jeep with the top down in summer. It happens every few years. It hurts at 30 mph, but luckily it doesn't happen at higher speeds

Trying to be zen by walking in the wood, but with every step I’m crushing worlds.

Quality toots here if you’re looking for mostly nature photography as well as onomatopoeia in multiple languages. 😂

Seems shady..."The men claimed to have been searching for amber. While the Baltic Sea is famous for its vast deposits of amber, searching for it in the dark is unlikely to be a successful strategy." 😂

The moment right now

overhead turkey vultures riding thermals | crows cawing in the distance | cold breezes swirling my hair | low rumbling road noises far away | bickering blue jays | rustling leaves | pup waiting for me

A beautiful word is zoetrope.

"Dutch artist Veerle Coppoolse handcrafted a zoetrope built entirely from delicate paper. Titled Metamorphosis Zoetrope, it explores the life cycle of a butterfly. The incredibly detailed analog animation shows a paper caterpillar crawling into a cocoon before transforming into a butterfly."

Walking through the woods, shapes form in the distance like constellations. Sometimes you think you see a distinct shape but it turns out to be several branches at different distances. But, you think to yourself, there was a house there—a shed or something.

That’s Baba Yaga’s house.
