Science is how we explain it.
Philosophy is how we think about it.
Music (and indeed art) is how we feel about it.

All of these are how we _understand_ it, in both senses of the term.

I loved hearing this interview today.

And it rang especially true for someone like me, who’s done so many different things previously, and will in future. (That being said, I definitely know what I’m meant to be doing now…)

Here’s to next adventures, the flexibility adapt, and the courage to try new things :)

@aimee Nicely done. I'm wondering if there are any sites which go into area detail rather than city detail - none of the cities they have listed are "no dry season, cold summer" like Invervegas.

Kudra :maybe_verified:

@aimee very clever, but it kindof minimises the reality of climate refugees likely by that time, in that it doesn't comment on the fact that many of these cities will already be fairly unliveable by 2070 due to more frequent extreme sea level events let alone baseline sea level rise, even if their climate is comparable to other cities with a harsher climate currently

Sigh, I know that we're all very focused on net-zero, which is laudable, even as we pretty much _fly_ past the targets required to get there.

Thing is, net-zero just means no _more_ emissions. There'll still be too much carbon, and of course other horrible nonsense, in the air.

So every time I see "net-zero", I think those two things, and wanna give up. And I, and we, CANNOT do that.

[It's like, er, buying the book isn't the same as reading it (looking at you here, self :P)]

@aimee Hey, that's really good! I'll look at old shop signs differently now.

Kudra :maybe_verified:

@aimee My dad was this kind of sign writer. Had a van and travelled all over regional Western Australia. It's kindof nice reading about one of the few who still do signs manually.
