In 2004, Sony Ericsson unveiled the EGB-10 Gameboard, which offered a more comfortable control system for mobile gaming compared to the standard keypad. It could easily snap onto compatible handsets, elevating the gaming experience for the simple mobile games of that time. #RetroHardware

Now I wonder, do they have an actual replica of Voyager somewhere in NASA HQ? 🤔
There must be one, otherwise how do you even manage to do all this stuff without testing

The analog technology is forgotten about as a relic of the past.

Take this light meter for example. Light enters a photocell and changes the magnetic field of a galvanometer.

This indicator (a small sticker really) is then projected off of a 45* mirror, through a condenser lens and suspended on a beam splitter (a two way mirror essentially) and appears magically in front of your eye, superimposed onto your field of view. #RetroHardware

I remember cutting and editing audio tapes. Actually cutting them with a razor and taping then together with special tape.

It may seem like a joke, in reality the zinc batteries of the time did not contain particularly harmful substances and were not sealed like today's alkaline and lithium batteries, which would explode, releasing highly toxic substances.

It would be great to have similar technology in our time, especially with something like lithium-based batteries 👀

The over 2,000-year-old Disco Colgante is an object that was produced for unknown reasons.

In fact it may be far older than 2000 years old with some very new evidence.

There is much speculation on what it was used for. #PastTimes

@johnmacintosh the Pre-Astronauts will love this. I do. ;-) It always has to do with Atlantis. But it also looks like agent tech from Stargate. ^^°
