#CatsOfMastodon I present to you a #Caturday gift... Kittens in boxes! Last week my wife took in 2 rescue cats to foster for a while. One was a formerly adopted cat the owners neglected and then returned extremely undernourished. The other was surrendered by a woman who'd been forced to live in her car with a car, dog, and a rabbit. Today she told me there was an emergency rescue of 3 kittens at the Humane Society. I protested as both my office and the guest room now had a cat. But she prevailed and came home with... 5 kittens. With our own 3 that's 10! #caturday Trying to get a photo of our three permanent cat residents is hard, but I told them it was for Caturday and they obliged, kind of. These oh so cute kittens have graduated from our foster care and are off to be adopted by their forever hoomans. Goodbye Wendy, Mister Darling, and Peter Pan you'll be missed but not forgotten. Percy got in a fight, ended up taking a swim in the pool and with an infected wound. Now he has to wear a cone until his wound heals up - but he still wants to go outside to get his revenge on the garden invader who sent him to the hospital. We may have to rename him "Rocky". This could be our last #Caturday with the Peter Pan three as these cute little foster kittens are almost big enough to get chipped and "fixed" before they go off to their fur-ever homes. As usual we'll be sad but it's always a pleasure to spend a few weeks with these adorable balls of fun. We socialize them with hoomans and our three permanent cats and set them up right for life. Here's Wendy, Mister Darling, and Peter Pan in an adorable cuddle puddle... All these years we've been sending our cats over the rainbow bridge and it turns out they were just going to Canada. We crossed over and I'll be looking out for you Jeeves, Suzannah, Lulu, Ticah, Elsa, Oscar, and Tigger. π Or cat Yoda says "May the fourth be with you!" and this photo is from when he was a kitten which illustrates why we call him Yoda. When you've been away and one of your cats got shut in the bathroom for 5 hours... 12
