@neauoire and I can release a new EP finally haha! just kidding... partially. I just found the strength to more or less organize myself to stop being overwhelmed by things needs to be done After twenty years of looking for a solution he said he https://groups.google.com/g/comp.lang.forth/c/qEndNz42bw0 To the sound of Peaches' I Don't Give A @neauoire At one point in time, I was working on a few concatenative language projects and utilized a deque instead of a stack. This let you treat the stack as a "tape" you could continuously expand, shift and manipulate, and "stack shuffling" became leagues easier. At one point, I added quotations. Recursion and looping just placed the next loop iteration at the "bottom of the stack", and when required, just recalled it and executed it. Quite elegant, for my purposes. @stevelieber just a little message to say that your art tip in Helioscope has completely made me rethink characters in perspective. And I can't unsee this now, it's so useful. Thank you so much. TIL The name "ravel" references the process of undoing woven or knitted fabric, thus removing its structure and rendering it linear. @neauoire (But it can also mean to tangle or weave or knot up: it's one of those wonderful words that swings both ways.) @neauoire wait but... isn't that backwards? i can unravel something woven and that means taking it apart... so if i ravel it, i put it back together, or weave it, no? After a beautiful sail south, we've finally made our way back to the Gulf Islands. Unloaded 4 months worth of cans, glass jars, cardboard that we have been accumulating aboard since the spring. Made a new portrait drawing of Neonev, the old one was pretty dated. I keep getting stung by wasps this summer. Today, it stung me on a knuckle, on my drawing hand. It looks like I'm drawing with a stump. Fucking Patreon, they have just the one service, that fucking horrible website that we dread having to log onto because it's so awful. Somehow, they still manage to make it worse, month after month, it's impressive really. Also, they reclaimed our really nice unique patreon url which was /100, all our links to our account are broken now, on every single video page, every itchio page. Thanks, that's great.

@neauoire I see that you're on LiberaPay, but have you considered Open Collective? It's worked well for our Mastodon server, and you do produce FOSS so it would fit in well with their niche audience. @neauoire Oh, sorry to hear this. Yeah, I'm pondering just rolling my own solution. Substack also ironically seems to be doing a lot of what Patreon did even with a different mandate? @neauoire Why am I asking, of course they are... A typical conversation aboard Pino. *BANG!* "Fuck!" Shout coming from inside: "Hey? If you've hurt yourself and are bleeding, don't bleed on my shoes okay" "Yea, yeah, don't worry. I'm just going to bleed around the shoes." @eel have you ever read E. M. Forster's The Machine Stops? a specific passage I've enjoyed, that you might too: https://wiki.xxiivv.com/site/tenth_hand.html Whales are heading south alongside us. I don't have the right camera lens for this- Drawn an interpretation of Moebius's Venise Celeste cover piece. La Maison du Peuple était un superbe bâtiment de Bruxelles, conçu par Victor Horta. Construit en 1895 - 1899 et démolie en 1965. In an attempt to catch up with all of the readings I have had queued in preparation to Strange Loop, I've inadvertently filled my every waking moments with enough dry plt papers to make myself altogether sick with the topic. I've been so caught up trying to learn about expressiveness, that I momentarily forgot what about it was that I even wanted to express. So, while I recover, I've picked up daily drawing again. |
@neauoire oooh yes! I really like this one too from the same album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIDTMUVlLd4
