Long walks on the shore talking about installing a bicycle crank to the shaft of our ship. I've added copies of source files for most #uxn tools, and other software, here: These will be automatically updated as I work on them in their individual repositories, but mirrored there for reliability. They are also embedded in their wiki pages, for example: I really like it. I’m considering making something to automatically mirror my sources as well. bit more robustness would feel good The forge that we use at Hundred Rabbits has been taken down by DDoS attacks and is struggling to come back online, the event reminded us that we ought to also have mirrors and release versions of these source files elsewhere. So we've begun hosting copies of these files on our various sites. (All the builds are still available as per usual, on itchio.) Until we regain access and push the changes to people using bleeding edge candidates, keeping with the spirit of improving the resilience of the tools we use I've taken a moment to write a kind of pocket version of the console emulator and self-hosted assembler as to see how many lines are needed to start from the seed assembler and replicate it. A copy of the pocket emulator, the source for the assembler and its hexadecimal representation have been added to the wiki. Cooking aboard our ship in winter means boiling some water to thaw the content of olive oil can. The inferno of the living is not something that will be; it is what is already here, the inferno where we live every day and form by being together. There are two ways to escape suffering it: - The first is easy for many: accept the inferno and become such a part of it that you can no longer see it. :moloch: A little segment I love at the end of Invisible Cities, by Italo Calvino. @neauoire @eli_oat for when you rebuild your website in Lil: https://razetime.github.io/blog/2023/11/22/decker-sites.html 👀 @cblgh It looks like lieu has a duplicate entries issue @neauoire ya not sure what’s leading to it! will diagnose soon hopefully, should (?) be an easy fix

@neauoire thanks for posting. I'm AFK and largely unaffected. But as a customer it's useful to follow. @neauoire I also experienced a hosting provider null routing a service (without telling me) in similar circumstances. My response was to move to a new provider... A truely competent provider should be able to cap bandwidth in such a way that other services aren't affected by the DDOS I should hope... Woke up with ice inside the boat, that's a first for us. It's about 2 degrees inside the habitat right now.

@neauoire 24 hours without sourcehut 😭 if this goes on any longer I’m going to have no choice but revert to RFC 1149 So, @d6 wrote a better implementation of string compare, Drifblim.rom is now 3 bytes shorter, made my day! The wind rose, we got thrown around all night and didn't sleep much at all. I made myself a latte this morning, it made everything better @neauoire i would love to hear about the coffee setup you have on the boat. Is that documented somewhere already perhaps? |
@neauoire next up: easter egg that implements snake to eat your source code?
