Russian media mix up info that "animals were evacuated few months ago" and "there's no zoo there".

Looks like animals were evacuated from Kakhovka (another town) and info about non-exciting zoo is just a fake from local Russian officials. Need to wait until everything becomes clear.

After Kakhovka water reservoir disappearing, famous Ukrainian fertile fields at South may turn into deserts.

Different media say that Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant destruction has left about 94% of irrigation systems in Kherson, 74% in Zaporizhzhya and 30% in Dnipropetrovsk regions without a source of water.

I guess Russia will leave soon at least Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. There're less economic reasons to fight for that land.

It's a village. It means that many home animals that can't swim and weren't evacuated in last few hours are dead already.

If people weren't at home or were busy and couldn't get their cats or dogs with them, they may never see them again.

In case of any extraordinary incident, carry about your pets.
