Decided to give Elixir another chance and hack a very basic IPFS filter into Pleroma. 3 hours down the drain, only to find out the cid library from 2018 is a red herring - it cannot produce useful results on its own. This took 20 minutes to implement in JavaScript. Sorry, but I operate on American time, not European time. I can't reimplement the world from scratch in Elixir. I cannot subject myself to this.
