 This is the framing Apple wants to sell for their decision to withhold features from the EU, and blogs are parroting it. In reality, Apple is purposefully withholding these features from the EU, either because Apple are being retaliatory against EU customers for the existence of the DMA, or because Apple (with full knowledge of the DMA for years) refused to build these features in compliance with it. Apple chose to harm their products in the EU. The DMA didn't. This framing is marketing. Not as a product, it is a shit product and reviewers are fully justified calling it shit. Rather It spotlights how AI shills crave the optics of legitimacy. Nobody questions a negative review of a gaming handheld. But since AI broadly produces a ton of shit aside from a few uses, it's VITAL to shills to gloss over the shit and vaguely gesture at "potential". Now it's not a review of a shit product, you're killing a ✨ startup ✨ building the ✨ future ✨.

Our cat Honey is getting old (she is about 16-17 years old now) and went through some pretty heavy health scares over the last year involving kidney disease and hypercalcemia and UTIs and more, but after a specialist and a whole bunch of medication 💸 and a year of worrying, the vet says we have turned the corner and have her heath issues under control, at least for now. It was originally announced that AI features would come in Beta this fall and only in US English. So this announcement is not withdrawing anything, just poking the EU.
iPhone mirroring: I can imagine if this feature would need to comply with DMA, it would also need to allow Android and Windows mirroring. Which is a lot more complex problem to solve, not hard to believe it needs more time.
