@timsmalley @nblr if I'm having a bad day, I go and find a big tree to look at. It's been there long before I was born. In the natural state of things, it will be there long after me. It doesn't care about my problems, it just sits there and breathes sunlight. It makes my problems seem insignificant. Also it's pretty.

@timsmalley Impresionante tĂșnel otoñal, con un brillo y unos suaves degradados de color, muy seductores. Excelente fotografĂa. 📾😯🍂🍁

Impersonation

This is one of the largest virgin oak trees in England on a beautiful early autumn morning. It measures around 8.6 metres in girth, and one of its branches has rooted itself nearby too.

I was drawn to the light rays, but also the spider's web that appears to mimic the collar on the main trunk.

Some dancing oak trees for New Year’s Eve.

I hope everyone has an awesome evening, whatever you’re doing.

I will be happily tucked up in bed well before midnight, but I know it’s a tough time for others. I’ve been in a dark place in years past, so I know what it can be like.

Just don’t ever feel like you are alone.

Tomorrow is new year; a chance for a fresh start. It’s a chance to find joy in the little moments that make up each day.

Have you ever seen an oak tree dance?

Britain is full of 'lost' rainforests, predominantly in the southwest and northwest of England, western/northwestern parts of Wales and the west coast of Scotland. There are other areas where the conditions are perfect too, like this one in the Peak District National Park.

When the rain starts and the cloud base drops into the rainforest, the trees come alive. Everywhere you look, there is magic and mystery.

@timsmalley Gorgeous Tim! Where are these trees?! I’ve definitely seen trees just like this near Black Rocks/Cromford Moor
