#Smithereen update. Notifications are ready. The unread counter in the menu updates (with each page reload), pagination works, and post deletion removes any notifications related to that post.

#smithereen update. Changed the HTML sanitizer library and made new rules that keep CSS classes/h-card microformat Mastodon users. This library can also act as an HTML parser that makes scraping easy — will come in handy (much) later whenever I'll get to embeds and previews.

An idea for #Smithereen for the future, when I have any blocking functionality at all: allow users override server-wide domain blocks. In other words, if the server admin blocks a domain, you'll have the ability to unblock it just for yourself or for a group you manage.

@Gargron there's something wrong with media attachments on mastodon.social. The requests for them show up as "pending" in the dev tools and I assume time out eventually.

This whole coronavirus thing feels like a poorly made horror movie. Except a movie is usually 1.5 hours, and this has been going on for 2 months now and shows no signs of stopping.

#Smithereen update. Added support for that webfinger domain redirection XML thing (https://gould.cx/ted/blog/2018/01/29/Jekyll-and-Mastodon/). @liaizon uses this setup on his mastodon instance and you couldn't mention him before. Now you can.
