I think this kind of game looks really neat as an interactive storytelling medium with a really low barrier to entry. If you've ever wanted to make an FMV game but don't have the time/energy, the downpour.games editor/engine hits a lot of the same notes

@mogwai_poet I always find these things fascinating in terms of how they handle state and complexity. AFAICT the entire game state in downpour is "which screen are you on?", Which theoretically can do a lot if you're happy to duplicate screens, but the amount of screen duplication blows out really fast if you don't reign it back in periodically.

I liked Holly's cat game a lot.

I am currently between gigs. If you are or know someone who ought to hire the Frog Fractions Guy, let me know. If you are or know someone who wants to fund a game made with my design sensibilities, let me know.

Do... do you think Bear used to have two cats?

A bear reads a book by the light of a black and white striped lamp. A black and white striped cat makes a pawprint on a sheet of A4 nearby.
