I like spam bot hunting :blobcatgiggle: Takes a lot of time but worth it!

Our current media storage is over the 500GB now since Nov 06 :blobcatgiggle: :mastodon_oops: Also is Masto.ai currently home to 11 868 amazing peope who wrote 88 809 posts so far! Masto.ai is now connected to 8907 other instances and we are online since Nov 06, 2022 :ablobgrin: Not bad huh!

Little tip for Masto mods and admins:
Look for typical 'spam' accounts that often use a business profile pic, links to websites and socials, they don't post but only sitting there for SEO backlinks
Often it's Vietnamese accounts with a long user- and displayname. Check the IP to see if 2 or more accounts belong to it and suspend the IP. (I often find over 40+ accounts per such IP) but only if there are more than 1 such accounts per IP, it could be a VPN
I refuse to pay for these spam accounts
