After I shower, when the shower is very wet, #MrMittens like to just go into it and sit and be with the wet. He doesn’t DO anything. He just sits and breathes it in. Zen #kitty.

An insightful blog post from @cstross summarising a lot of the furor over #microsoft #recall. The snark at the end about Microsoft making 2025 the year of Linux on the desktop made me realise a small thing that I think is important:

MS is the last hold-out still charging money for a consumer operating system. Obviously Linux is free and Apple tries to prevent their OS running on non-Apple hardware, but only MS charges you for the privilege of enduring their #AI force feeding. You’re paying them money and you’re STILL not the customer.

Still a few minutes left to squeeze in a #MrMittens video for #caturday. This is a game we play every night before I brush my teeth. I’m not sure what the rules are. Sometimes I’m putting my finger in for him to swipe at, and sometimes he’s putting his paws through tempting me to try to catch him. He’s super gentle and doesn’t have his claws out. He knows how to play with humans. #catsofmastodon #mastocats
