a libi rose

i found David Lynch's work in high school, and loving his films found me my first friends in film school. i even watched his daily weather report every day for the almost 3 years he was doing this. this feels close to home, like a star went out in my sky.

his family's note on his death:

It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There’s a big hole in the world now that he’s no longer with us. But, as he would say, “Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.”
It’s a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way.

it's bandcamp day and i am continuing my "promote the spouse because he's allergic to self-promotion" plan... he has several projects (and they're all different and they're all great)

a libi rose

a re #introduction, so's i can pin it:
I'm libi rose (you can also call me libi or rose, just don't capitalize any of them)
i am perpetually coming to terms with the fact that I'm an artist and always trying to figure out how to describe what precisely my art is. mostly it's collage, though very loosely defined. currently i am realizing that my job is also in part an extended performance of technoskepticism.

i manage the @mediaarchaeologylab and also run a project called INTERFERENCER with my spouse and also a project called sharing turtle ™️ with my friend Laura. i am technologically adept and also technologically ambivalent. i make a lot of zines and do a lot of repair and maintenance work.

i have too many degrees and no plan for the future.
