This word is so archaic that it is not listed as a word by Merriam-Webster or Lexico. Bematists do have an entry in Wikipedia from which I have derived this definition. It may be fitting that the word on offer from Merriam-Webster was inscrutable (unfathomable).

Naturally, that word already previously used here, that lead me to seek a different word.
