Well... I don't usually go to Kuala Lumpur (and it's obvious) 😅
That track was actually recorded on a sleeper train on diesel IIRC. Wow, I do miss the train a lot: now it's all electric and is faster.

I'm doing more or less the same, through Trackbook app (on @fdroidorg).
It allows you to record your trips and uses OSM.
The advantage is that it's phone-local only, so privacy is well preserved too.
