I haven't heard back from fedi.monster about my request for a new instance yet but I imagine they are probably a bit swamped right now due to a higher than average number of people looking to create their own mastodon instances for some reason. 😅

Or you could go with something like Misskey or https://SoapBox.Pub which are both very easy to install and with a richer set of set of features, without that arbitrarily imposed paltry 500 character count default limit.
