it's ridiculous what perfect pets cats are. convenient size to fit in even a small dwelling, intelligent and sociable to the point it will develop its own conlang to talk to you with, yet simultaneously self-sufficient, very clean, almost house trains itself, massively efficient predator perfectly adapted to ridding you of vermin or venomous animals that enter your dwelling, playful, yet spends 15 hours per day sleeping, and emits healing vibrations. like from a 19th century utopian novel
