This hasn't been a good week for me, even before getting sicker than I've ever been with Influenza on Monday. Feels like nothing is going right in my life. Instead of treading water, as usual, I have been constantly dragged backwards since the start of the year. I am dreading going back to my deadend job on Monday.

But, it is Caturday and I wanted to share something I hadn't before with Mastodon.

In 2017 my partner was in the hospital. Every night my cat would wait and look for them to come home.

Love your cats while you can, because they certainly love us, and their lives are so preciously short.

Two months ago we laid our 19 year old Black Tonkinese cat to rest. He was the most hyper intelligent and loving cat anyone could have asked for. Needless to say, #Caturday will never be the same for me. So I have decided to post some archived photos of my late Tonkinese cat, and perhaps a couple other past loved cats, here on Mastodon.
