The Fedora COSMIC spin has been accepted by FESCo for Fedora 42!

It's exciting having something you've worked on for almost a year start coming to fruition officially.

There's still plenty of outstanding work to make this happen, but I'm determined to get it done!

@ryanabx A hearty congratulations! An inspirational and impressive accomplishment! I don’t normally celebrate releases with food or drink, but I will with this one as I type rebase and smash enter on my terminal!

And of course a major thank you for System76 and contributors for creating and getting Cosmic DE and ecosystem to where it is now and beyond!

@ryanabx if fedora ever works on the RPi5 it would be a delight to try this one.

In #KDE news, the KDE goals for 2024 into the next couple of years have dropped, read up on them here:
blogs.kde.org/2024/09/07/kde-g

In particular, the goal I am looking forward to seeing the outcome is the "Streamlined Application Developer Experience", aiming to improve the ability for developers to contribute to KDE by developing apps or helping with the core experience. The goal is aiming for improved experiences in other languages such as #python and #rust !
