banger, follow youtube, you know the dril: https://www.youtube.com/sirtaptap/ Let me tell you the secret of the "Everything App". It's real, it's not called X, and it's about 33 years old. It's called a Web Browser. Despite a decade of walled gardens trying hard to ruin it, you can still do pretty much any task you need on the web. You can even make websites into apps with Progressive Web Apps (two clicks on WordPress). The everything app is old, and under siege daily. But it works, it's resilient, and it's magical.

@SirTapTap@mastodon.social I think Elon's brilliant idea with an "Everything App" is to basically make something like WeeChat for the western market. A horrible idea. "when will the save icon stop being a floppy disk?!" Probably whenever cartoon bombs stop looking like these grenades from 1688 Oops #banger Follow my YouTube pretend it's a podcast https://YouTube.com/sirtaptap

@SirTapTap And to know that folk are voting to have women like me bleed to death in miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies in order to adhere to their misguided "right to life" laws. I still kinda feel everyone should have or at least consider setting up their own website. We underprepared my generation for how big tech was going to be, and we're teaching kids these days to just use whatever the biggest app is. We're failing really hard on preparing for the future and it really only harms us. None of it is as complicated as you've been told. Great thing about anything tech? Most of the work is done for you. Open Source is magic. |
