Kagarlitsky is a worldwide renown sociologist and peace activist. He was accused and imprisoned already in the times of the Soviet Union as well as in Russia in the time of Yeltsin's presidency. Kagarlitsky has played a central role in peoples movements internationally, including as a speaker at European Nuclear Disarmament meetings already during the Soviet era. In recent years he also participated at international "No to #NATO" meetings and at meetings for global justice. Through his work Kagarlitsky has contributed to nuclear disarmament and agreements of importance for world peace.

I've been trying winget recently and I do not understand how can anybody use it!

If you install Firefox Nightly and there's a update it will not update because it "has a different update method" so it literally tells you to uninstall and install it again!
WAT???

Also it has the F-ing Docker interface where you fist have to set up all the repos and do soem stupind dance blah blah blah

I wonder if they had figured out configuration keeping/saving, probably not XD

Look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power!

I kind of reinvented a wheel. I've started gentle (git.sysrq.in/gentle/) before I discovered your upstream-ontologist (github.com/jelmer/upstream-ont) project.

What to do? Continue to work on two almost identical projects?

@cybertailor upstream ontologist is migrating to rust, so that may be a point of difference? Alternatively, we could cooperate closer or merge projects, assuming project goals are the same?

I'd like to announce my new utility

gentle is a metadata.xml generator for #gentoo ebuilds. It takes an ebuild as input, unpacks the source and extracts upstream information from project files (e.g. pyproject.toml or package.json).

Contributions are welcome!
