i'm quite impressed how many completely free software tools there are for making stuff, and how people have actually adopted them

like, on newgrounds and other parts of the web, krita and opentoonz are the defacto art and animation programs and have almost entirely replaced photoshop and animate/flash

then there's godot, which is ludicrously popular for making webgames and is slowly catching on in the commercial games industry

then we have kdenlive, which has been used to make large professional looking projects

and of course, FUCKING BLENDER, which is basically the industry standard for 3d modelling and animation at this point

holy shit mozilla has a new issue tracker documenting all of the ways that apple, google, and microsoft purposefully put third party browsers at a disadvantage and is calling for action https://mozilla.github.io/platform-tilt/

need fedi administration help

im wanting to make my akkoma server more accessible to more people, but to do that, i need the mailer to work so the server can send emails for password resets and such

does anyone have experience with getting the akkoma mailer to work with a mailing service and is willing to help me get it online? i ideally want to spend next to nothing on the email account ($5/month or less) and want low friction and low maintenance

boost for visibility

EDIT: i solved this by using mailbox.org and smtp

several email providers: *exists*
society: "yep makes sense to me"
several fedi instances: *exists*
society: "this is impossible to figure out."
