I don't understand why most syntax highlighting themes style comments in some unimportant barely-visible gray. If comments weren't important, I wouldn't be writing them! :blobcatreeeeeee: I hate to admit it, but modern Javascript (the language, not the ecosystem) is actually pretty tolerable. Most of the old warts are avoidable and arrow functions, destructuring and standard library improvements help a lot. To be clear: "tolerable" is very high praise when I'm talking about programming languages, most languages don't even get to that point. "You just need an email address to start." What's next, I just need a bank account to position a button? @ayo@lonely.town It's also simply a lie unfortunately. Reading up on the JS automatic semicolon insertion rules confirms that I've been doing it right for the past 20 years: that feature is scary as hell, I'll stick to my semicolons. Sorry I haven't been posting many photos of the dog, let me try to compensate that with a badly recorded video. I'm rebranding VNDB to become the Visual Novel Dating Site.
