There’s something so beautiful about this moment. Our little kitty started doing this a while back. She sits on the counter and greets the sun each morning. She waits for it to rise above the buildings until she sees it break above the trees.

The colours in the sky are always astoundingly beautiful. She waits there patiently every day. I’ve taken to pausing my morning routine to pet her, and take in the moment. Today the sky is innumerable shades of pink. The camera doesn’t do it justice.

Today, I shed a tear, because I finally understand.
