@fsf Is there a large online bookstore that has anything near equal to apple or amazon's selection of ebooks without drm? It's not the hardware / OS that's the problem, its getting the content outside of a drm content provider.

@fsf i was lucky to buy a used kindle one when the amazon book store and whispersync still worked and since it had a sdcard it was relatively easy to copy them simply on a computer, and since kindle 1 used the original book format this could still be ripped to open source ebook formats using online tools
