I am very interested in libre hardware design, as I believe there is an abundance of libre software currently that runs on proprietary chips. Also, the focus on the repair movement is in line with libre hardware. What you likely want is tax advisory software, which won't be FLOSS'd for legal reasons and the fact that it's systemically paywalled.
