The kitten, Virginia Woolf, has just gotten a quick bath due to her messy eating habits. This calico kitten with black and brown parts on top of a white body is wrapped in a towel. You see her face and her paws while the rest of her is hidden by a green towel. Meet Virginia Woolf, a calico kitten with black and brown coloring on a white body. She's the sibling of Oscar Wilde who's photos appeared here some days ago. Here Virginia is looking through the wires of the kennel. She's curious and wants to be held. This is Oscar Wilde. He's one of three rescue kittens my wife has been bottle feeding. He and his siblings, Margaret Atwood and Virginia Wolf, came with umbilical cords still attached. Here he is in his own pen recovering from too much rough housing with his sisters. He's an all black, fluffy kitten. His blue eyes look out from the bars of his kennel while he stands on wobbly, unsure legs. He's about 3 weeks old now. Well, it's Saturday somewhere. Enjoy this sleeping kitty and think about how the troubles with the big bad Microsoft machine are in your past. Lenny left today so that my wife could nurse some three day old kittens back to health. He will be with another foster until his eye surgery happens. He's such a friendly little guy. We wish him all the best in his future life. Here is one eyed Lenny who insisted that I pick him up and hold him this morning so that he could go to sleep. At present, this rescue cat is waiting for the veterinarian specialist that will take care of his diseased eye. After that he will be ready for adoption. My wife and I are close to being failed fosters by wanting to keep this soft little lover. For being a kitten from a feral litter he's such a people person. We returned from an overnight trip. We were gone 28hrs. Gomez came to greet us and then he plopped behind the couch in his special cat lounger I made and hung out while we relaxed streaming some TV. Gomez is sitting in a new cat chair that let's him be at level with the back of the couch. He normally sits on the thin back rest of the couch and nearly falls off every twenty minutes. This new seat keeps him safe. It keeps him near us as we watch TV. Gomez is enjoying his 14th hour of sleep. I imagine he dreams of the forbidden treats he may not and cannot eat for they make him barf. But he does love them so. #caturday #catsofmastodon #kitten Both foster kittens are now gone. Madeline went to a family already. My wife is getting updated on how perfect the kitten is every other day by the mom. Roderick has gone to the cat Cafe where he's been 24hrs. Already there's a buzz about him. I suspect he'll be adopted in a matter of days. The adoption paperwork takes that long to vet adoptive families. |
